Should Customers Choose Used Rolling Mill?

In the entire rolling mill market, used rolling mills occupy a large share, because its price is relatively low, which just meets the needs of those customers who are unwilling to invest more to purchase new rolling mill equipment. However, second-hand rolling mills cannot be purchased blindly, and a slight inattention will threaten their own interests.

Under normal circumstances, we do not recommend customers to choose a used rolling mill. First, it is not safe. Second, it may not achieve the expected operating results. As processing equipment, rolling mills also have a useful life. Second-hand rolling mills have usually been used for a lot of time, its service life is beyond verification, so the safety in various aspects cannot be guaranteed. 

After the rolling mill has been used for a long time, the components therein will be worn to varying degrees. Even if the used mill is used, the wearing parts must be replaced. However, at this time, rolling mill manufacturers do not necessarily have matching parts, so the maintenance of used rolling mills is also a major problem.

In particular, the second-hand rolling mill which is not bought from regular manufacturers has no guarantee of quality and after-sales service. In addition, the rolling mill often needs to be matched with other equipment to form a production line to work together, while the matching of the second-hand rolling mill and other equipment has not been verified, and blind purchase may cause waste.

Since the quality of the rolling mill is directly related to the safety and output of the user, it should not be used. If a second-hand rolling mill is needed due to limited funds, it should also be used from a regular channel.  

In addition, the inspection and monitoring of the used rolling mill should be strengthened during use. Once abnormalities are found, the machine must be stopped immediately, and the fault can be eliminated and tested before it can be used. In addition, scraps must be scrapped in accordance with specifications after the rolling mill life has been reached.
