(1) Full short-stress, no-torsion high-speed rolling for bar steel rolling. At present, the international advanced production lines, such as the ABSIWNA plant in Italy, use full short stress lines horizontal and vertical alternative no twist rolling.
(2) Low energy consumption for large batches. Fully hot-rolled hot-feed direct rolling technology, direct rolling of large batches of materials represented by the Japanese NKK Gossen plant, and the method of corner heating is an effective way to reduce costs and improve product competitiveness. Several factories in China have also made the trial. At present, continuous casting hot charging and regenerative heating furnaces are widely used.
(3) Controlled rolling and controlled cooling super steel technology of bar steel rolling. China’s “973” scientific research project, using low-cost materials to produce high-strength (400Mpa) steel rebar. At Huaiyang, Nangang, Sanming and other bar mills, we have tried and made some achievements. It is predicted that products will enter the market soon. The new projects in 2002 basically considered the possibility of producing super steel.
(4) Multi-line cutting technology. The domestic two-wire cutting technology has been widely used, and the three-wire cutting technology has been successfully applied in several steel plants, and has achieved the expected benefits. With the deepening of material research, high-strength steel will occupy a larger and larger proportion in the market. It has become an inevitable trend to replace the original medium and large specifications with small specifications. Proficiency in and application of multi-line cutting technology is necessary for refining and rolling bar production lines.
(5) Application of coil delivery technology. The production of Ф8 ~ 16mm rebar steel, delivered in coils, especially the rebar and wire rod composite production line, greatly facilitates the different requirements of customers, especially for expressways, airports, and large bridges. In recent years, another equipment manufacturing company has specially designed and manufactured a coiler for the rebar and wire rod production line, like the Italian company POMINI, the maximum size can be rolled over Ф25 bar. Except that these products are directly used by customers, most of them are further processed and sent to the construction site directly.
(6) Deep processing of bar steel rolling. The current construction market has basically been mechanized, and due to labor costs and other issues, customers are increasingly ordering rebar products for processing and distribution centers, rather than directly ordering from steel mills. In this way, customers can request the rebar processing line to ship rebar products every day according to their own construction progress.
(7) The application of cemented carbide roll rings in the continuous rolling bar production line. Due to the requirements of producing small-sized products and reducing manufacturing costs, many production plants began to adopt carbide roller rings.
(8) Automatic counting technology of bar steel rolling. The latest automatic counting is the use of an optical camera with a CCD (charge coupling device, a semiconductor device that can convert optical images into digital signals) processing system, which can accurately read the number of each bundle, but it can not be automatically bundled online. To solve the automatic counting, you can also start from the billet optimization and double ruler optimization. Before the cold shear, the rack movement is counted to keep the number of steels in each batch consistent, and also to ensure that the number of each bundle is strictly consistent.
