During the operation of the slab rolling operation of the automatic rolling mill, the hole design and the rolling speed have been set, and the performance of the rolls, the guide and the liner is relatively good. Guide wear usually occurs at the entrance and exit, but the corresponding improvements have been made according to actual rolling production needs.

The automatic rolling mill doesn’t mean there is no manual work. The steel rolling production line needs to be monitored manually at the console. The conveyor roller table and the shearing machine located in the automatic rolling mill must be strictly controlled during operation to avoid the failure of stacking or stuck steel. The rollers and guides need to be replaced if the wear exceeds the specified range.

The service life of the alloy guide of the rolling mill is relatively long. The main reason is that the operating speed of the rolling mill can be adjusted according to the actual rolling situation. The normal speed of the rolling mill and the shearing machine is about 98%.

The rolling of the slab causes the roller to be squeezed momentarily, and the bearing bears the corresponding pressure, which affects the size of the rolled product. We may need further improvements, but the ultimate goal is to get better rolling mill equipment.
