New Technologies for Bar Rolling Mill
(1) The full short stress no-twisted rolling mill. At present, the international advanced bar rolling mill production line, like the ABSIWNA plant in Italy, uses the full short stress path rolling mill line with H-V-H-V arrangement.
(2) The large size billet material and low energy consumption. Full-automatic hot-feeding direct bar rolling mill technology, which is directly rolled by a large batch of materials represented by NKK Takamori Plant in Japan. The way corner heating is an effective way to reduce costs and improve product competitiveness. Several factories in China have also done try. At present, continuous casting hot charging and regenerative heating furnaces are widely used.
(3) Controlled rolling and controlled cooling super steel technology. China’s “973” research project when producing high-strength (400Mpa) reinforced steel bars with low-cost materials. At the bar factory in Huaiyang, Nangang and Sanming, we tried and achieved some results. It is predicted that products will soon enter the market. In 2002, the new project basically considered the possibility of producing super steel.
(4) Multi-line splitting rolling technology. The domestic two-line splitting rolling technology has been widely used, and the three-line splitting rolling technology has been successfully applied in several rolling mills and achieved the expected benefits. The four-line splitting rolling was only introduced by Guangzhou Steel from Baden and is currently unstable. With the deepening of materials research, the proportion of high-strength steel in the market will become larger and larger, and it has become an inevitable trend to replace the original medium-sized specifications with small-sized products. Proficiency in the application and application of multi-line cutting technology is very necessary for the production line of smelting and rolling bars.
(5) Application of roll-to-roll delivery technology. Foreign bar rolling mills, especially the bar and wire rod composite production line, produce dimeter 8mm~16mm rebar and deliver them in rolls, which greatly facilitates different requirements of customers, especially for highways, airports, and large bridges. In recent years, there have been coiling machines designed and manufactured by equipment manufacturing companies for rod and wire production lines. Like the Italian POMINI company, the largest specification can be crimped to 25 or more bars. In addition to being directly used by households, most of these products are further processed and sent directly to the construction site.
(6) Deep processing of the rebar. The foreign construction market has basically become mechanized, and due to labor costs and other issues, customers are increasingly ordering rebar deep-processed products for processing and distribution centers instead of ordering directly from steel mills. In this way, customers can request rebar products every day according to their own construction schedule.
(7) Application of cemented carbide roll ring in continuous rolling bar rolling millproduction line. Many manufacturers have begun to use carbide rings because of the need to produce small-size products and reduce manufacturing costs. The most widely used is the combined roller ring of the German SAAK. Five domestic companies have begun to produce and put into use such roller rings. From the perspective of their use, the gap with foreign imports is not large, but processing is very difficult.
(8) Automatic counting technology. The latest automatic counting is the use of an optical camera with a CCD (charge-coupled device, a semiconductor device that converts optical images into digital signals, the home of rolling steel) processing system, which can accurately read the number of each bundle, but not On-line automatic bundling to solve automatic counting can also be done from the optimization of billet optimization and multi-footwork. The racking action before cold shearing keeps the number of steels in each batch consistent, and also ensures that the number of roots per bundle is strictly consistent.
