Semi-continuous rolling is two-roll horizontal rolling mill, which uses 1 part or 2 troughs for side-by-side rolling by means of disk operation and torsion rolling. The rolling speed is generally about 25~30m/s. Such rolling mills generally use prestressed rolling mills and rolling bearings. The precision of the rolled products is high, and the DC motor is used for transmission, and the loops are provided between the racks. Therefore, the adjustment is convenient and the production is flexible. The intermediate frames can be rolled out of different specifications and are suitable for small-batch, multi-variety wire rod production.
The horizontal full continuous rolling is collective transmission, multi-line rolling, rolling speed is 20 ~ 30m / s; the straight-rolling finishing mill is arranged in horizontal and vertical alternately, each frame is driven by DC motor alone, using cantilever type vertical roller and the horizontal rolling mill are alternately arranged to perform multi-pass single-line rolling, the rolling speed is about 35 m/s, and the disc weight is up to 800 kg. Y-type finishing mill rolling speed can reach 50m / s; The rolling speed of the 45°finishing mill has reached 140m/s or more, achieving high-speed torsional rolling.
In this modern continuous wire rod mill, in order to balance the production capacity of each unit and ensure the accuracy of the product, the roughing rolling unit adopts large extension, lower rotation speed and multi-slot rolling; while the finishing mill adopts smaller extension, higher speed and single-slot multi-rolling scheme, that is, the finishing mill column with 4 columns, only one wire rod is rolled in each column at the same time.
