The finishing process of the section steel mill is an important part of the production of profile steel. It will roll from the semi-finished products for cooling, straightening, cutting, heat treatment and inspection, classification, elimination of defects, packaging, marking treatment, making it the finished steel that meets technical standards. Therefore, the level of the finishing equipment directly affects the quality of the product. One of the important signs of the modern steel rolling mill is the continuous and automated finishing equipment.
1. Cooling bed. Modern small and medium-sized rolling mills use walking-beam cooling beds. The input rollers, lifting brake plates and steel separation devices of the cooling bed ensure that the rolling piece is transported smoothly, accurately positioned and smoothly landed on the straightening plate. At present, some countries have used computer-aided design to optimize the shape of the rack and the straightness and length of the rack, so that the shape of the tooth groove can be adapted to the steel profiles of various sections, and uniform cooling and minimum deformation are obtained. For the bar, a new type of rapid cooling device has been developed, because the conventional walking-beam cooling bed not only has a limited cooling rate, but also intermittent pauses during each step of the transfer process, and the pause causes the heat medium of the forced cooling process to not uniformly dissipate heat around the bar. Some companies have developed a forced cooling device that has a fast rotation speed of the bar and can move axially, so that the entire length of the bar can be cooled uniformly without bending, and the metal structure is uniform. The main feature of the fast cooling bed is that it uses the jet cooling medium and the bar to rotate at a certain speed from top to bottom, so as to achieve uniform cooling.
2. Continuous fixed-length shearing unit. Modern small-profile rolling mills use new processes for long-term cooling, long-length straightening and cutting in cold conditions. The continuous fixed-length shearing unit consists of an automatic compact multi-roller straightening machine, flying shears and bundling equipment, which is installed at the rear of the cooling bed output roller, and the upper roller is controlled by computer to raise and lower. Start-stop flying shears and special clamping devices are used to ensure cutting accuracy.
3. Large and medium-sized steel wire straightening equipment, single-roll straightening equipment with cantilever structure, can be removed or moved into the roller table according to production needs. The roll distance and roll gap of the straightening rolls can be adjusted according to the product specifications. The variable roll length straightener has higher straightening quality.
4. Due to the complex section of the section steel, in order to obtain high-quality incisions, modern cutting equipment uses cold saws, metal cold saws for carbon steel, and wheel saws for alloy steel.
5. Reduced diameter sizing machine: This is patented technical equipment developed by Morgan in 1993. The reduction sizing machine consists of four V-shaped cantilever beam mills, two reductions and two sizings. The reducer and sizing unit can be removed separately from the rolling line, and the position is replaced by a guide groove when the unit is removed.
6. High-speed shearing machine for cutting head and tail: This type of shearing machine is a rotary flying shear. A microprocessor is used to control the speed of the commutator and the position of the scissors to ensure accurate setting of the length of the cutting head.
